WARNING! SITE DOWN SOON!
April 1, 2008
Yikes! Did I scare ya? We’re not moving mountains, but we do have to move the SupplierSource servers. That means an actual real world physical shut down, disconnect, pick up, move to different town, put down, reconnect, turn on and test. Phew! I’m tired already and I’m not even doing it.
until
So, SupplierSource will officially be out of commission from Thursday, April 3 at 9:00a.m. EST until Friday, April 4 at 2:00p.m. EST. Please bear with us if it takes a nanosecond or two longer. If we can be back up sooner, we certainly will.
If you have any questions or want to come help please let us know! Hard hats ready?
P.S. The giant Komatsu dump truck doesn’t have anything to do with anything other than the fact that I love trucks and will use any excuse to put a truck into a posting.
P.P.S This is not an April Fool’s gag.

That is an amazing truck. They have even bigger ones on their site!

Trucks are GREAT! Giant trucks are even better. Komatsu makes some of the biggest in the world!
Wouldn’t it be great to have a giant amusement park devoted to having trucks and other giant equipment as the rides? I’d sign up for a lifetime pass!
Anybody else want to sign up?

Even better if you could actually drive them…

That would be allowed with the Platinum membership (after signing a “It’s all my fault, no matter what” for the insurance company.
Or,we could set it up like the Exotic Car Clubs, where the club owns the land and the equipment and does all the maintenance and the members pay for a certain number of points for the year.
You could show up and drive the dump of your choice or use the monster dragline if you have enough points. Bulldozing things would be a big hit too - 500 points to take down a house, maybe 5,000 points for a whole small town! You could earn points by rebuilding the town for the next demolition…
Oh, wait a second, I’m supposed to be working…
